September 10, 2026 – “Welcome Back”
We began our new year with a delicious potluck supper enjoyed by over 30 members and guests in Rodney Hall at Knox Presbyterian Church in St Thomas. Over the meal, we used “ice-breaker” questions to get to know our table-mates. We were happy to see a slide presentation featuring highlights of our 2025-2026 year.
Our new sound system, donated by Maureen B, was much appreciated by all and ensured that everyone could hear over the lively chatter of the group.
As we celebrate our 75th anniversary year, we received a letter of congratulations from MPP Rob Flack, and a formal certificate of congratulations from Mayor Joe Preston. We recognized some of our long term members with a gift of a potted plant. (Marilyn A – since 1967; Cathy H & Helen B – since 1974; Barb G – since 1979; Nancy J – since 1987 and President at the 50th Anniversary; Mary Ellen B – since 1985). We also remembered our members who passed away this year and resolved to donate to the St Thomas library in their memory.
