Our Community Engagement Fund (CEF) is the fundraising arm of CFUW St. Thomas. It raises money for scholarships, six of which are distributed to deserving female students graduating from the high schools in St. Thomas and Elgin county. Our main fundraising event is a Dessert Bridge/Euchre event held annually in April. Another fundraiser takes place as a yard sale in Shedden during the annual Rosy Rhubarb Festival. The fund also contributes to community organizations such as the local Women’s Shelter, the YWCA and other groups that support the purpose of our organization. CEF has charitable status and will issue tax receipts for donations to our club.
